Adenike (Nikki) Cosgrove has joined global cybersecurity and human risk management firm Mimecast as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to drive strategic growth and position the company in new markets. 


Nikki has worked in cybersecurity for more than 20 years and joins Mimecast from Proofpoint, where she spent more than nine years, most recently as regional CMO for EMEA leading the company’s product and strategic marketing operations.


As an accomplished cybersecurity executive, Nikki’s expertise spans the spectrum of product and business strategy including growth marketing, strategic communications, analyst relations, and competitive intelligence. Prior to Proofpoint, she worked as lead EMEA advisor to security and risk professionals for Forrester Research and Canalys, where she developed a deep understanding of the challenges and complexities of the CISO role, and helped clients with their information and cybersecurity strategies.


Nikki holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Hull and a Master of Research, Telecommunications, from University College London.

On the importance of her role at Mimecast, Nikki points to the evolving threat landscape and way in which cybercriminals are increasingly targeting individuals as well as organisations.
