Juniper's new offering simplifIes security and network operation
Juniper Network is aiming to offer visibility across network and security operations with its new Secure AI-Native Edge solution

In a move set to integrate AI to the networking industry, Juniper Networks has announced its new Secure AI-Native Edge solution, marking a significant leap forward in the integration of network and security operations.

“CISOs and CIOs face a stark choice today, with proliferating, evolving cyber threats on one hand and business demands for faster, greater digital transformation on the other,” says Shishir Singh, SVP and GM, Core Technologies and Security, Juniper Networks.

Known for its innovative approach to secure AI-Native Networking, Juniper has introduced this cutting-edge product with the aim of addressing longstanding challenges in the digital security landscape.

A new era of integrated security

At the heart of Juniper's latest offering is the recognition that traditional security solutions often fall short in the face of evolving complex threats. The company's new solution seeks to overcome the limitations of separate products that create silos, hindering security posture, network performance and productivity.

This is where Juniper’s Secure AI-Native Edge offers a breakthrough. It delivers the power of unified visibility to create a seamless connection between network and security operations, eliminating silos and empowering teams to work together more efficiently.

The Secure AI-Native Edge solution brings together Juniper Mist's award-winning AI-Native and cloud-native network operations with what the company touts as the industry's leading efficacy security solution.

This integration is designed to provide customers and partners with a holistic, integrated solution that accelerates the detection, diagnosis and resolution of potential network threats across various environments.

“Because traditional security offerings lack the necessary intelligence and automation to adapt to this paradigm, a different, more flexible approach is needed to deliver the seamless, holistic protection and performance that is imperative for the modern digital organisation,” says Shishir.

One of the primary benefits of Juniper's new offering is its potential to simplify security and network operations, ultimately reducing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for organisations.

By bringing SD-WAN, security assurance and Network Access Control (NAC) under a common cloud and Mist AI engine, Juniper is paving the way for simpler, more seamless and secure Universal Zero Trust Network Access (uZTNA) deployments in the future.

A key component of the Secure AI-Native Edge solution is the new Mist Security Assurance software subscription.

This cloud-hosted offering represents an industry-first in AI-Native Networking and security convergence. Through a single dashboard, administrators can configure authentication policies for users, application policies for which applications users can access, and traffic steering policies to guide how they want users to access these applications.

“Integrating cloud-based, intelligent and automated security management into the platform is a logical progression, enabling IT and security teams to make faster, data-driven security decisions and responses in lockstep with the network, devices, users and applications being protected."

Sujai Hajela, EVP and GM, AI-Driven Enterprise, Juniper Networks

The solution leverages integrated SRX security, which has demonstrated exceptional efficacy, receiving an industry-best 99+ percent score in the most recent Cyber Ratings Enterprise Firewall test. This independent assessment analysed various critical factors, including zero-day complex threats, malware detection rates, response times and false positives.

The future of network security

As organisations continue to grapple with the dual pressures of cybersecurity threats and digital transformation, solutions like Juniper's Secure AI-Native Edge are likely to become increasingly crucial.

By integrating network and security operations under a single AI-driven umbrella, Juniper is not only addressing current challenges but also setting the stage for future developments in network security.
