SailPoint secures fifth consecutive accolade for ID security

SailPoint ranked highest across the board for product, innovation, market position, and leadership for the fifth consecutive year in KuppingerCole’s report

The leading companies in enterprise identity security have been named in KuppingerCole’s latest Leadership Compass: Identity Governance and Administration report, which saw SailPoint identified as the Overall Leader in identity governance and administration (IGA) for the fifth consecutive year.

KuppingerCole Leadership Compass reports provide market analysis designed to help organisations identify which vendors, products, and services they should consider within a given market. The IGA Leadership Compass report includes a detailed evaluation of market players and focuses on security, functionality, integration, interoperability, and usability, as well as vendors’ innovativeness, market position, ecosystem, and financial strength.

The report’s Overall Leaders are Avatier, Broadcom, Bravura Security, EmpowerID, Evidian, IBM, Micro Focus, Microsoft, Netwrix Corporation, Omada, One Identity, Oracle, RSA, SAP, Sailpoint, Saviynt, and Simeio. Product Leaders are Avatier, Beta Systems, Bravura Security, Broadcom, EmpowerID, Evidian (Atos), IBM, Micro Focus, Microsoft, Netwrix Corporation, Omada, One Identity, Oracle, RSA, SailPoint, Saviynt, Simeio, and ZertID.

“SailPoint's early recognition of Access Governance requirements, combined with strong marketing messaging and execution, has led it to be one of the most evaluated IGA vendors for mid-to enterprise-sized organisations,” says Nitish Deshpande, Research Analyst, KuppingerCole. “SailPoint continues to enhance its provisioning, automation, AI-driven risk mitigation, and reporting capabilities in a positive direction, making it a recommended consideration in any IGA evaluation.”

The report highlights the importance of identity and access intelligence and automation as a key trend to reducing management workload. The report cites SailPoint’s workflow management, excellent identity lifecycle management, and access review and certifications driven by AI/machine learning, among a list of strengths.

"It’s an honour to be named an Overall Leader in IGA by KuppingerCole once — let alone five years in a row,” says Grady Summers, EVP of Product, SailPoint. “With a majority of breaches today tying back to a compromised identity, it’s clear that identity security needs to be foundational to enterprise security."
