The Global Sustainability Awards 2026 returns to London on 8 September, celebrating future leaders, sustainability heroes and technology innovators

The Global Sustainability Awards will take place on 8 September 2026 at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London. Entries close on 29 June 2026, with final judging and the shortlist announced in July.

The programme brings together organisations, initiatives and individuals making measurable progress through sustainability. The event will conclude with a black-tie gala dinner recognising excellence across business and industry.

Winners from the 2025 programme

The Lifetime of Achievement Award was presented to Dr Márcia Balisciano, Chief Sustainability Officer and Global Head of Corporate Responsibility at RELX.

Upon receiving the award, Márcia says: "I am so privileged to be able to receive this."

"I accept this on behalf of the 36,500 people at RELX who advance sustainability in our organisation every day," says Márcia.

"I have been so lucky to be at my company throughout my career, which is focused on its unique contributions to society, advancing science and health, protection of society, avoiding risk, promoting the rule of law and access to justice and fostering communities."

Specialising in sustainability, ESG, corporate responsibility and stakeholder engagement, Márcia has spent more than two decades building and leading sustainability programmes that increase positive societal impact while reducing environmental footprints.

Her work has helped establish RELX as a recognised sustainability leader, integrating responsible business practices throughout a global organisation serving customers across research, healthcare, legal, risk analytics and events.

The Future Leader Award was won by Sripragas Nadaraja, Sustainable Design Director at Ramboll. Highly commended recognition was awarded to Ana Luiza Nogueira Rodrigues of Scala Data Centers and Katharina Fechtner of BASF Coatings.

Sripragas was recognised for sustainability within the built environment through the delivery of net zero and ultra-low-energy building projects, innovative cooling technologies and embodied carbon reduction tools. His work demonstrates how innovation can accelerate sustainability outcomes while creating scalable solutions for future developments.
