Accenture and CrowdStrike have joined forces to drive enterprise cybersecurity transformation
The collaboration will help organisations enhance security operations (SecOps), continuous threat exposure management and AI workload protection

Accenture and CrowdStrike have joined forces to drive enterprise cybersecurity transformation, helping businesses navigate complex digital innovation and the challenges of transformation with greater confidence.

Their collaboration integrates Accenture's security expertise with CrowdStrike’s Falcon cybersecurity platform, which provides global businesses with cloud security and identity protection. It also offers next-generation security information and event management (SIEM).

This combined approach sees the pair aiming to enhance security operations (SecOps), continuous threat exposure management and AI workload protection.

For businesses it will deliver improved threat visibility and prevention. It will also help with remediation while optimising operational costs.

Cybersecurity challenges in a cloud-first world

As organisations continue to adopt cloud-based and AI-enabled operations at pace, the sheer volume of data generated presents a challenge for security teams.

Traditional security solutions struggle to process this data efficiently, making threat detection and response more difficult.

Within this context, many businesses also rely on a patchwork of security tools, leading to inefficiencies and delays in protecting both operations and customer data.

Paolo Dal Cin, Accenture Security Global Lead

"Cybercriminals are infiltrating organisations with alarming sophistication and unprecedented speed," says Paolo Dal Cin, global lead, Accenture Security. "To combat this, we work closely with organisations to understand their unique cybersecurity needs and tailor solutions to address their specific challenges.

“By combining our expertise with CrowdStrike’s technology, we can help clients adopt a more proactive and efficient approach to digital defence."

To tackle these challenges, the partnership between Accenture and CrowdStrike offers an integrated approach that consolidates security tools and improves overall efficiency.

Providing a more unified platform enables security teams to manage threats in real time while reducing complexity and cost.

WHSmith enhances security with Accenture and CrowdStrike

WHSmith, a global travel retailer with more than 1,700 stores in over 30 countries, has strengthened its cybersecurity operations through this collaboration.

It has adopted Accenture's Managed Extended Detection and Response (MxDR) services and the CrowdStrike Falcon platform, enabling enhanced threat detection and response across its global operations.

Jon Begley, Global CISO at WHSmith Group, highlights the impact of this approach: "The collaboration between Accenture and CrowdStrike is helping us improve threat visibility across our global business while maintaining a responsive and agile security operation to protect our digital assets.

“This means we can focus on growing our global travel retail business further and offering a leading experience in our stores for customers on their journeys across the world."

By leveraging the combined capabilities of Accenture and CrowdStrike, WHSmith has gained real-time visibility across its entire infrastructure, extending protection from its corporate network to individual store locations. This holistic approach enables the company to manage cybersecurity risks more effectively while maintaining operational agility.

Transforming security operations with AI and automation

The integration of Accenture’s cybersecurity expertise and the CrowdStrike Falcon platform brings several advantages to businesses, including cost reduction and operational simplification. It also improves threat detection and response capabilities.

The partnership focuses on three key areas:

  • SecOps modernisation – This initiative integrates security operations workflows into a unified system, leveraging CrowdStrike’s Next-Gen SIEM technology. The AI-driven approach can optimise security costs by up to 30% by streamlining workflows and rationalising security tools.
  • Managed detection and response (MDR) – A combination of Accenture’s global capabilities and the Falcon platform enables faster threat detection, investigation and response. AI-powered automation can drive up to 60% workflow optimisation for SecOps use cases.
  • Continuous threat exposure management – This approach transforms how organisations manage vulnerabilities, consolidating exposure visibility across the attack surface. By using attack path analysis, businesses can optimise processes and reduce costs by up to 15%.
George Kurtz, President / CEO & Founder at CrowdStrike

George Kurtz, founder and CEO of CrowdStrike, underlines the significance of the partnership: "Customer demand for Falcon platform adoption, cybersecurity consolidation and SOC services expertise is driving our market-moving Accenture partnership. Accenture’s deep expertise with the Falcon platform and SIEM transformation have directly assisted organisations in upleveling their cybersecurity programs from device to cloud to data centre.

“Accenture plays a key role in guiding organisations to embrace the AI-native SOC, leaving legacy SIEMs, point products and manual SOC operations behind for automated, resilient and machine speed cybersecurity platform controls."
