AWS & Crowdstrike Partner to Accelerate Cybersecurity

22 EMEA-based cybersecurity startups, many developing AI and ML offerings, have been selected for the AWS & CrowdStrike Cybersecurity Accelerator programme

AWS and CrowdStrike are making moves to support emerging cybersecurity startups

The two technology giants have partnered to launch AWS & Crowdstrike Cybersecurity Accelerator, an online equity-free programme designed to empower cybersecurity startups from across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) with product development, investment and business support. The inaugural cohort consists of 22 handpicked, early-stage companies, many utilising AI and ML, chosen from hundreds of applicants.

“AWS is excited to collaborate with CrowdStrike in providing this cybersecurity accelerator program. As the most secure cloud provider, AWS has helped many cybersecurity startups rapidly scale and expand their businesses,” says Kellen O'Connor, EMEA Managing Director for Startups at AWS.

“With the accelerator program providing access to cutting edge AI, cybersecurity experts, technical resources and AWS' reliable infrastructure, it will empower the startups to scale up while driving innovation in cybersecurity forward."

The 2024 cohort:

Supporting and developing the future of cybersecurity

The support available to the companies will come in multiple forms, including access to AWS’ cloud infrastructure, leading cybersecurity experts, customised mentoring sessions, technical expertise. As well as support to develop the companies offerings, the programme also aims to provide the companies longevity once the Accelerator is over. This comes in the form of partnership opportunities from the AWS Startup Loft Accelerator (SLA) program, potential to receive funding from CrowdStrike’s strategic investment vehicle, CrowdStrike® Falcon Fund, and up to $25,000 in AWS Activate Credits to further build their business.

At the end of the two months, an innovation award winner will be announced at in-person Demo Day during RSA Conference 2024 in San Francisco.

“CrowdStrike took cybersecurity to the cloud, building our platform on AWS – together we’ve propelled how companies build and secure their businesses in the cloud, from code to runtime,” said Daniel Bernard, chief business officer at CrowdStrike. “We are thrilled to partner with AWS to share tech expertise, best practices and business-critical resources for the next-generation of cybersecurity innovators building on AWS and the Falcon platform.”
