Why Trend Micro's Cybertron Transforms Enterprise Security

Global cybersecurity leader Trend Micro has announced the launch of Trend Cybertron, an innovative AI-powered cybersecurity agent designed to shift enterprises towards a proactive security model and change the way it approaches risk.
The company says Trend Cybertron is the first specialised cybersecurity large language model (LLM) of its kind that leverages AI-driven intelligence, historical threat data and predictive analytics to protect organisations from emerging risks.
Cyber threats continue to evolve in scale and complexity, leaving security teams overwhelmed by fragmented technology stacks, alert fatigue and sophisticated attack methods.
Trend Cybertron aims to address these challenges by combining 35 years of threat intelligence, real-time risk analysis and automation that allows it to anticipate and prevent breaches before they materialise.
“Trend is building a cybersecurity AI agent unlike any other,” says Eva Chen, CEO of Trend Micro.
“We’re bringing together a massive quantity of the highest-quality data in the industry to supercharge our capabilities and make it easier than ever for customers to proactively manage their cyber risk. Our customers and partners are already seeing reduced costs and improved security posture.”
Beyond traditional detection: A shift to proactive security
Unlike conventional AI-powered cybersecurity tools, which focus on reactive detection, Trend Cybertron is engineered to predict and prevent cyberattacks proactively.
It is integrated with Trend Micro’s Trend Vision One platform, Cybertron enhances an organisation’s security strategy by:
- Anticipating needs and predicting risk with data-driven intelligence
- Reducing alert overload and prioritising high-risk threats
- Unlocking greater value from existing security sensors and technologies
“This evolution of AI in the Trend platform is unique as it calculates our constantly changing risk profile and cross-references millions of bits of data for custom threat intelligence,” says Stuart MacLellan, CTO at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, which use the Trend Vision One platform.
“This has made it possible to be more proactive than reactive with our entire security strategy.”
Reinforcing cyber defence with AI and threat intelligence
Trend Micro has built one of the most comprehensive global threat intelligence networks, with more than 250 million security sensors protecting 82 million assets across 500,000+ enterprises in 175+ countries.
The company’s decades of knowledge and experience enabled it to block 160 billion threats in 2023.
Rachel Jin, Chief Enterprise Platform Officer at Trend Micro, reinforces this vision: “Trend Cybertron represents a paradigm shift in cybersecurity – combining advanced AI with decades of human intelligence to deliver truly proactive security.”
For enterprises navigating an increasingly hostile cyber landscape, Trend Cybertron offers an intelligent, scalable and proactive defence strategy – one that ensures cybersecurity is not just a reactive function but a key business enabler.
