What is it about Trend Micro's Trend Vision One that has seen it gain 10,000 large enterprise customers in a little over a year?

Trend Micro has announced a significant milestone in its AI-powered cybersecurity platform Trend Vision One by reporting it has now reached 10,000 large enterprise customers globally.

This impressive feat comes just over one year after the platform was first released, and represented a raft of AI-augmented products that the cybersecurity company would go on to produce that year.

Since its release, Trend Vision One has been enhanced with new management and operational tools specifically designed for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) - aimed at simplifying risk management and enable MSPs to gain operational efficiencies.

Yet it took a year to get up to this announcement of record level of users and platform enhancements. But what is it about Trend Vision One platform that has had enterprises rushing to implement it?

A view of Trend Vision One

Trend Vision One is a comprehensive cybersecurity platform that integrates prevention, detection, and response capabilities into a single, unified solution. Powered by AI and extensive threat intelligence, it offers robust protection against cyber threats whilst streamlining security operations.

The platform breaks down security silos by supporting diverse hybrid IT environments and automating workflows. It manages the full cyber risk lifecycle, including asset profile management, attack path prediction, and custom remediation guidance, enabling real-time risk assessment and prioritisation.

Trend Vision One for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) offers enterprise-grade capabilities and integrations from a single, multi-tenant platform. This allows MSPs to deliver comprehensive cyber risk management to their customers efficiently.

Key features of Trend Vision One include

Key facts
  • Extended Detection and Response (XDR): Integrates security across endpoints, networks, email, and cloud for comprehensive threat detection and response
  • Attack Surface Risk Management (ASRM): Provides continuous visibility and assessment of the attack surface, helping organisations understand and mitigate risks effectively
  • AI-powered threat detection: Enhances threat identification and reduces false positives
  • Global threat intelligence: Utilises data from over 250 million sensors and expert threat researchers to stay ahead of emerging threats
  • Automation and orchestration: Streamlines repetitive tasks and response actions, improving efficiency and reducing workload on security teams
  • Comprehensive security coverage: Protects various environments including email, endpoints, networks, cloud, and operational technology (OT) from a single console
  • Third-party integrations: Supports extensive integrations, allowing organisations to consolidate their security tools and gain a unified view of their security posture

By offering these capabilities in a single platform, Trend Vision One aims to simplify and converge security operations, making it easier for organisations to manage and mitigate cyber risks effectively.

Next milestone for Trend Micro

Having taken just over a year to reach 10,000 large enterprise users, Trend Micro is not resting on its laurels.

The company is extending its reach to small- and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs).

This expansion aims to help SMEs manage their cyber risk more effectively, a critical need as these organisations often lack the robust security teams found in larger enterprises.

By simplifying operations, enhancing threat detection, and providing continuous risk management, it addresses key challenges in modern cybersecurity - mainly how companies are increasingly looking for unified approaches

The platform's expansion to SMEs and its robust capabilities for MSPs mark a significant step forward in making enterprise-grade cybersecurity accessible to organisations of all sizes, and if its success with large enterprises is anything to go by, it may not be long until it reaches the same number among them too.
