N-able: Manchester City's Official Cybersecurity Partner

Nowadays, the beautiful game is just as much about off-field performance as it is on-field results. To this end, Premier League titan Manchester City is preparing itself to defend its cyber goalposts.
The club has unveiled a new partnership with N-able, signalling a clear commitment to safeguarding its rapidly expanding digital operations.
The agreement names N-able as the Clubâs Official Cybersecurity Partner, covering both the menâs and womenâs teams as the club continues to evolve on and off the pitch.
As one of the most recognisable names in world football, Manchester Cityâs digital ecosystem stretches far beyond matchdays.
âThe best teams in the world donât just perform, they protect what makes performance possible,â says Vikram Ramesh, Chief Marketing Officer at Nâable.
âManchester City operates at elite speed, across global markets, with zero tolerance for disruption.
âThatâs exactly the environment Nâable was built for. This partnership is a statement about where cybersecurity is heading â toward partners who build the resilience that lets world-class organisations keep moving forward.â
AI-driven protection for a global operation
From internal systems to fan engagement platforms, the Club operates within a complex technological landscape that demands constant protection. This collaboration aims to reinforce that infrastructure against growing cyber threats.
Central to the partnership is the integration of advanced, AI-powered cybersecurity tools designed to enhance resilience across the Clubâs operations.
N-able will work closely with City to strengthen existing systems, focusing on protecting sensitive data and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day activities.
Speaking about the agreement, James Tennant, Director of Technology and Information Security at City Football Group, highlighted the importance of staying ahead in a fast-moving digital environment.
âManchester City is a leading global brand within sport and beyond and with that comes the requirement for us to continually invest in technology and services to protect our people, our data and our operations,â James says.
âN-able offers advanced end-to-end solutions that will help us as we continue to evolve and future-proof operations and we look forward to working with them as part of this new agreement announced today.â
City's previous partnership with Acronis
With football organisations handling vast amounts of data across multiple markets, the need for robust cybersecurity has never been more pressing.
For this reason, the FC had renewed its partnership with cybersecurity firm Acronis last month, strengthening the relationship that started back in 2018.
Man City's partnership with Acronis rests on its data back-up and security strategy needs for which it enlisted Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud.
While Acronis continues to act as the clubâs Official Data Backup & Storage Protection Partner, cementing data resilience ambitions of the club, N-able will bring AI-native, end-to-end cyber defence solutions.
N-able offers endpoint management, Adlumin managed detection and response (MDR), Threat Hunting, DNS Filtering among other services.
City Football Group, the wider company behind Manchester City, continues to expand globally. The organisation now owns clubs including Girona and New York City FC, which makes digital protection a key strategic priority.
This partnership represents the alignment of elite sport with cutting-edge cybersecurity, where performance depends as much on secure systems as it does on talent.
For Manchester City, the deal underlines a proactive approach to risk in an increasingly connected world. For N-able, it offers a high-profile platform to demonstrate how resilience can underpin success at the very highest level.
