Wipro and CrowdStrike announce expanded partnership to deliver unified managed security service targeting enterprise threat detection and response gaps

Wipro has announced an expanded partnership with CrowdStrike, with the two firms set to launch CyberShield MDR, a managed security service that is designed to address the growing complexity of enterprise security operations.

The new AI-powered service has been established to solve one of the most critical challenges in modern cybersecurity.

Namely, the fact that many organisations are struggling with an overwhelming volume of security alerts from disconnected security tools which often fail to prevent breaches.

CrowdStrike's Falcon Next-Gen SIEM platform will be central to CyberShield MDR, combining native Falcon platform data with third-party security information and real-time threat intelligence to create a comprehensive service for the modern enterprise.

A worldwide clampdown

The service will be delivered through eight Cyber Defence Centres positioned strategically around the world, staffed by Wipro's cybersecurity specialists.

Integrating technology from Wipro Ventures' portfolio companies Simbian and Tuskira, the service creates a unified approach to threat detection and response.

"Wipro's CyberShield platform, powered by CrowdStrike's AI-native product suites and strengthened by our security ecosystem will help enterprises contain threats swiftly and ensure continuity of digital operations," says Tony Buffomante, Senior Vice President & Global Head of Cybersecurity & Risk Services at Wipro.

Tony emphasises that the integrated platform approach enables automated workflows while preventing lateral threat movement and eliminating security gaps often associated with fragmented solutions.

The challenges of modern cybersecurity

The partnership responds to increasing pressure on security operations centres to manage sophisticated threats while dealing with tool sprawl across endpoints, cloud workloads, identity management and data protection systems.

CrowdStrike's Chief Business Officer, Daniel Bernard, explains the collaboration's focus on operational simplification: "The Falcon platform supercharges Wipro's CyberShield Managed Security Services to deliver real-time attack detection, faster response and outcomes that stop breaches.

"Together, we're simplifying operations across Wipro's ecosystem of partners – reducing costs, accelerating time-to-value and giving customers the confidence to stay ahead of today's adversaries."

From idea to implementation

CrowdStrike's Falcon Next-Gen SIEM system integrates AI-powered automation with threat intelligence to enhance detection capabilities across enterprise environments.

The platform processes both CrowdStrike's native security data and information from third-party security tools, creating a centralised view of potential threats for comprehensive enterprise security monitoring.

This integration aims to reduce the operational burden on security teams while improving incident response times.

The service launch is planned for CrowdStrike's Fal.Con 2025, targeting organisations that need advanced security monitoring but lack internal resources for round-the-clock coverage.

As companies continue to face challenges in recruiting and retaining qualified cybersecurity professionals, managed security services offer a viable solution for maintaining robust security operations.

The partnership's success will be measured by its ability to demonstrate improved threat detection speed and accuracy compared to traditional security approaches.
