In the evolving landscape of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), software security company Cato Networks has introduced a ground-breaking solution aimed at empowering channel partners with vendor-level capabilities.

The new Cato MSASE Partner Platform is designed to address the significant challenges faced by channel partners in delivering and profiting from managed SASE services.

The adoption of SASE services has been on a steep upward trajectory since Gartner officially defined the concept in 2019. By 2026, Gartner predicts that at least 45% of enterprises will use managed SASE services, a threefold increase from early 2023.

SASE, a network architecture that combines VPN and SD-WAN capabilities with cloud-native security functions such as secure web gateways, cloud access security brokers, firewalls, and zero-trust network access, has rapidly become a critical component for modern enterprises, driven by the need to secure and optimise increasingly complex network environments.

This surge in demand presents a lucrative opportunity for channel partners. However, the path to capitalising on this opportunity is fraught with challenges.

The problem with SASEs

Many SASE offerings in the market today are a patchwork of multiple point products marketed as a single solution.

This fragmented approach requires channel partners to stock, integrate, and train on a diverse array of technologies, leading to significant costs and operational inefficiencies.

When issues arise, partners often lack the visibility and knowledge to troubleshoot problems effectively, leaving them unable to provide the level of service their customers expect.

Cato Networks' MSASE Partner Platform is designed to eliminate these complexities by providing a single, converged, cloud-native platform.

Upskilling SASE

Cato Network’s platform grants channel partners vendor-level insight, control, and knowledge, enabling them to deliver highly differentiated managed SASE services efficiently and profitably.

One of the standout features of the MSASE Partner Platform is its centralised multi-tenant dashboard. This tool allows partners to manage the complete customer lifecycle from planning through deployment and into production.

Partners can view customer account status, including licence utilisation, security risk exposure, and networking problems, and take immediate action.

The platform provides partners with access to Cato's first-line support tools, playbooks for troubleshooting, and a comprehensive knowledge base.

Additionally, AI tools integrated into the platform make Network Operations Centres (NOC) and Security Operations Centres (SOC) more efficient, further boosting profitability.

Empowering partners

Cato Networks' strategic vision is to transform how channel partners deliver SASE services by providing them with the tools and capabilities typically reserved for vendors.

"The Cato SASE Cloud transformed how enterprises consume networking and security services; now, with the Cato MSASE Partner Platform, we’re transforming how the channel can deliver those services," said Frank Rauch, Global Channel Chief at Cato Networks.

By empowering partners with vendor-level powers over licensing, account management, visibility, and more, Cato aims to make its partners more efficient and profitable.

This approach not only addresses the current pain points in the SASE market but also positions Cato and its partners to capitalise on the growing demand for managed SASE services.

Early adopters of the MSASE Partner Platform have already seen its potential.

Avi Lonstein, CEO at AireSpring, noted: "The Cato MSASE Partner Platform will enable AireSpring to deliver managed SASE services that are truly differentiated in the market." S

By addressing the complexities and inefficiencies that have traditionally plagued the market, Cato is ushering in a new standard for how managed security services are delivered, and as the SASE market matures, this approach could very well be a key to unlocking its full potential.
