NinjaOne CEO and co-founder Sal Sferlazza says the company's latest funding will help make endpoint and patch management as easy and autonomous as possible
Automated endpoint management startup NinjaOne has announced US$5m in Series C funding at a US$5bn valuation, which it will invest in R&D and growth

Remote and hybrid working, combined with the sheer volume of applications and devices across the modern enterprise environment, has caused an explosion of endpoints and – for IT and security leaders – a challenging and less secure technology landscape.

Without effective automated endpoint management, businesses face a variety of risks ranging from security breaches, malware and ransomware attacks and data loss, through to compliance violations from poor data management, productivity loss and even reputational damage.

In this context, automated endpoint solutions are king. The growing sophistication of cyberattacks and malicious actors means attempts to manually manage endpoints and security posture is increasingly inadequate.

Instead, companies use automated solutions that act as a central control hub for devices and can automatically update software, patch vulnerabilities, help track or locate stolen or lost devices and identify and respond to threats.

This, as well as the rise in Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policies and the explosion of IoT devices in businesses, is causing a boom in the automated endpoint market and a rise in investment in innovative companies like NinjaOne.

The Austin, Texas-based startup, which counts the likes of Nvidia, HelloFresh and Porsche as customers, has announced US$500m in Series C funding at a US$5bn valuation.

Funding endpoint innovation

NinjaOne’s latest funding came in separate tranches that were led by ICONIQ Growth and CapitalG, Alphabet’s independent investment fund, with participation from other prominent private investors.

Derek Zanutto, General Partner at CapitalG

“NinjaOne has the potential to be a generational company. The NinjaOne platform is reimagining what is possible in automated endpoint management while prioritising results for customers and partners. Coupled with its terrific culture and exceptional leadership team, we find NinjaOne to be one of the strongest IT software companies in the world,” says Derek Zanutto, General Partner at CapitalG.

“Endpoints are nearly impossible to manage across the enterprise, and CapitalG is committed to helping NinjaOne and its customers succeed where others have failed.”

Roy Luo, General Partner at ICONIQ Growth, adds: “As NinjaOne enters this next phase of growth, we’re excited to see them expand their leadership in automated endpoint management and proud to deepen our partnership.”

NinjaOne's R&D and customer focus

NinjaOne offers a cloud-native platform that automates endpoint management, patching and visibility for business environments at any scale. This includes automated patching that keeps software up to date, real-time monitoring that detects suspicious activity and alerts teams, antivirus and malware protection, device management and detailed security reporting.

The company has been on a significant growth trajectory over the last year – a reflection of the growing market for automated endpoint solutions.

In late 2024 it announced 20 product launches and appointed a new Senior Vice President of Data and AI in Joel Carusone. It was also named a Champion in the Canalys RMM and PSA Leadership Matrix 2025, and announced plans to acquire data protection leader Dropsuite.

“At NinjaOne, we are investing in innovation across our platform with a vision to make endpoint and patch management as easy and autonomous as possible, while continuing to expand into other AI, IT, and security use cases,” says Sal Sferlazza, CEO and Co-founder.

“Endpoints are the backbone of organisations today and we believe that in the coming years providing products that support the user and their devices will be critical to making our customers successful.”

NinjaOne says it will use the latest funding to drive research and development focused on autonomous endpoint management, autonomous patching and vulnerability remediation, and expanded IT use cases that improve employee experiences with devices. It will also provide support for investment in customer support and future growth through acquisition.
