Security operations leader Arctic Wolf has announced its platform is the first native cybersecurity platform to integrate with the iManage Knowledge Work Platform.

The new partnership aims to enable the Arctic Wolf Platform to conduct comprehensive monitoring, detection and response actions against suspicious user activity and advanced cyber attacks targeting their iManage environments. iManage offers an intelligent, cloud-enabled work platform to enable organisations to activate knowledge that exists inside their business content and communications.

As the threat landscape changes, a data breach of cyberattack is becoming an inevitable for businesses around the world. As a result, security can no longer be an afterthought, with security companies helping organisations ensure that it is a crucial part of their core operations.

A unified platform approach

As a leading managed detection and response (MDR) service, Arctic Wolf is designed to help detect and respond to cyberattacks, helping businesses recover from them. It works with clients to ensure that they learn from cyber incidents and can prevent them in the future.

The company also logs and conducts investigations into the root cause of incidents to offer customised workflows for businesses.

Cybersecurity and IT teams are required to manage and secure a large volume of sensitive documents and emails across key industries such as financial services, healthcare and supply chains. Many organisations are now turning to specialised document management tools and systems to help secure this data.

As part of this, iManage Work is trusted by more than 4,000 organisations, including more than 40% of the Fortune 100. It helps businesses manage documents and emails more efficiently, protect vital information assets and leverage knowledge to drive better business outcomes.

Working in tandem with Arctic Wolf, the iManage Work Platform works to ensure Arctic Wolf customers receive 24/7 monitoring via an integration with iManage Threat Manager so suspicious activity is correlated with data from other systems and is immediately investigated and contained. As the iManage Work Platform contains sensitive information for organisations, it is essential that threat actors are rapidly detected and responded to.

“Security is foundational to iManage,” comments Dean Leung, EVP of Digital Enablement and Communities at iManage. “Many of our customers leverage the security tools inherent in the iManage platform including Threat Manager and Security Policy Manager for robust security.”

He adds: “For those seeking to integrate document management-centric threat patterns from the iManage Work platform alongside other critical systems, Arctic Wolf’s unified platform can analyse these systems too. The Arctic Wolf platform along with the team of security operations experts gives customers an added advantage by strengthening their security posture.”

Leveraging knowledge to drive better business outcomes

With the threat actors of today operating faster than ever before, relying solely on traditional security tools to detect attacks against businesses could lead to greater risk.

In its 2024 Trends Report, Arctic Wolf suggests that business email compromise (BEC) attacks are now the primary method used by cybercriminals to attack organisations. It found that 70% of businesses worldwide were targets of BEC attacks in the last year alone, with almost a third of these victims of one or more successful attacks.

With this in mind, the company’s collaboration with iManage will serve to improve enterprise security outcomes - catching threats before they cause damage.

“At Arctic Wolf, we believe all data is security data, which is why we have led the way in adding integrations for business-critical applications for multiple verticals to our platform,” says Dan Schiappa, Chief Product and Services Officer at Arctic Wolf. “We are excited to partner with iManage and look forward to enabling new security outcomes for our shared customers, so that they can work more productively, collaboratively, and securely.”

Arctic Wolf was one of the first security operations providers to build critical business application monitoring into its Managed Detection and Response (MDR) offering, with the company securing applications that contain highly sensitive business information. Its unified platform approach enables businesses to have greater confidence that their data is protected.
